Project: Created for a small Japanese restaurant in Summerland, BC. Recently purchased, the owners were looking to rebrand and relaunch the restaurant as a Japanese Bistro. I designed their logo (left), redesigned their take-out menu and created an instore menu (below) and designed their website.
Programs: Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, InDesign CS5, Notepad++
Website Structure: HTML 4.01, CSS3, PHP and Javascript.
Japanese-style full colour menu full of photos of every item available to order (instore - left).
Take-out menu is 11x17 with all the items on one side along with a seasonal suggested set of items (right).
This website is a single-HTML website. This was accomplished using javascript to hide and unhide div's when items are clicked. There are 0 hyperlinks on the page - all links are div/js based.
Pros: Instant loading of any page when clicked. Instant preview of all images.
Cons: Initial page-load time is longer. Bookmark always leads to main page.
